Last Shazam’d: J D McPherson, Voyage, Jacqueline Taieb
Heres the latest instalment in our adhoc ‘Last Shazam’d’ feature, never edited, strictly as the phone spits it.
1. J.D. McPherson – North Side Gal.
If I recall this was a reco from Josh Homme on some radio show somewhere (helpful aren’t I;) Either way its rad and brilliant music to barbecue meat and drink beer to.
2. I Love You Dancer – Voyage.
French disco didn’t begin with Daft Punk, these guys were doing back when Guy and Thomas were mere twinkles their Papas eye. I can’t remember where this was from but its as disco as a song can get, sure to bring out the ‘Stella’ in you. (I’ll send some stickers to anyone who can name the film reference there)
3. Jacqueline Taieb – 7 Heure du Matin.
An amazing french tribute/cover of The Who’s My Generation. Swipped from the latest James Brown radio show on Soho Radio, I urge you all to listen here.
